Anyone who follows my blog, knows I see the future for mobile in terms of native device sensors. So it made perfect sense to start building a New Mobile Game that takes advantage of as many native sensors as possible, and see what we can do.
The game is called MAGNA-BALL™, and it’s a fully native physics game built on the Starling Game Framework. And of course, it’s a ground-up custom build…because that’s what I do.
As far as the game mechanics go, I’m still hammering those details out. But what I have currently is really fun to play, and quite the brain teaser. Simply put, the game uses a “counter intuitive” logic element that requires some getting used to, especially when physics are involved. But once you get the hang of it, it’s really entertaining.
But rather than go on and on about the silly thing, I will be taking the easy route in a couple weeks, and opening the platform up to a few special beta testers. I’ll probably thank them for testing things out, by treating them to a sweet SwitcHHat™ tee shirt and a Zipline Oatmeal Porter (or two).
